A little kitten lived with her siblings and her mother somewhere in Iasi. Maybe with people, maybe in a backyard, we know. At some point, this little kitten, only a few weeks old, was snatched away from her family and left on a busy road, abandoned. The kitten was shivering all over from cold and fear. The cars shot past her and made her flinch again and again. Finally, it took refuge under a parked car.

And this is where Kitty's story begins. Ioana, one of Anca's helpers, is studying veterinary medicine in Iasi. She was taking her dog for a walk before she had to go to university when her dog sniffed and ran towards a parked car. Ioana did not understand what her dog was trying to tell her. Astonished at her dog's behaviour, she went to the parked car and looked underneath. There was a scared little kitten sitting there and when it saw Ioana and a dog's muzzle, it started meowing heartbreakingly. Ioana managed to get Kitty, as the little kitten would later be called, out from under the car. Kitty was in a very bad physical condition. Insanely thin, light fur and fleas could be seen scurrying over Kitty's skin. Ioana took Kitty in her arms and took her home with her.

A few months have passed since then and Kitty has meanwhile moved to Cristina, Ioana's mother and Anca's foster home, in Trusesti. There, the small, scared and emaciated kitten has become a lively and beautiful cat. Kitty has silky fur and loves to be cuddled. Giving head, snuggling up, yes, that is Kitty. She loves people. But she is also a cat and likes to lie comfortably in the sun, do nothing and just enjoy her existence with half-closed eyes. But the pretty cat lady with the black spot on her nose can also do other things. A stuffed animal, a ball or simply a ball of wool brings out her play instinct. Whether alone or with her fellow cats, Kitty is immediately wide awake when there is something exciting to explore or she is asked to play.

Kitty lives with Cristina with other cats, of different ages, and dogs. She also knows chickens and gets along well with all 4- and 2-legged friends. The cuddly cat lady also knows life in the house, but would like to be able to move freely outside after an appropriate acclimatisation period. We are therefore looking for a home for Kitty in a quiet area where she can live with at least one other cat or male cat. Of course, stroking hands and a can opener may also live in Kitty's new home. :-)
