Cats

Lucas

Age: app. born begin of July 2023
Gender:
male
Neutered:
yes
Housing: indoor cat
Sociable with: female and male cats, dogs

When Ioana visited her mum in Trusesti, she brought her a present. Lucas, the little cat who had lost his mum in a car accident. Ioana's mum is Anca's cat foster carer and so Lucas was now in good hands. Although Lucas had to manage without his mum from a very early age, the little cat developed very well. Together with other kittens, he turned Cristina's household upside down. Nothing was safe from the little velvet paw. Lucas also learnt about life in the house.

The months passed and Lucas grew into a handsome tomcat. He now lives with other cats in an outdoor aviary, without outdoor access. Lucas is very cuddly with us humans, likes to be held in our arms, gives heads and nibbles easily on our fingers. He is also very playful. Lucas also knows dogs, as Cristina also has dogs living with her.

We are looking for a new home for the cuddly, handsome Lucas, where there may already be another cat at home. Preferably a family with several snooze openers. The more hands to stroke, the better. Lucas doesn't know the outside world and is perfectly happy living in a flat. But he certainly wouldn't mind a nice, cat-proof balcony.

Lucas will be vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and castrated by the time he embarks on his journey.

Calypsa

Age: born app. end of January 2023
Gender:
female
Neutered:
yes
Housing: indoor cat
Sociable with: female and male cats, dogs

Calypsa survived and has grown into a beautiful and cuddly, 3-coloured lucky cat. She now lives with Ioana's mum in Trusesti in an aviary, together with other cats and tomcats, and gets on well with all of them. But her affection and love is for people. The cuddly feline enjoys rubbing up against her two-legged friends, giving "heads" and her eyes radiate so much love.

Calypsa is not familiar with life outside this aviary, so this beautiful cat would be perfectly happy living in a flat. Calypsa would certainly have no objection to a cat-proof balcony for sunbathing.

Calypas will be vaccinated, chipped, castrated and dewormed by the time she embarks on her journey.

Buffy

Age: born ca. begin of May 2022
Gender:
female
Neutered:
yes
Housing: indoor cat
Sociable with: female and male cats, dogs

Buffy and her siblings (Basil, Beverly, Bonny, Brenda and Bailey) have been living with Cristina, a foster home of Anca, since they were rescued from this tree where they had all taken refuge from the street dogs. There the 6 kittens live together with other cats/kittens of both sexes without any problems. They play, scuffle, cuddle and curiously explore their little world. Buffy and her siblings now also know nice dogs and if they are gentle and calm with them, the velvet paws are no longer afraid of them.

Buffy and her siblings are friendly, cuddly and playful with us humans. They love to climb on our shoulder to watch the world better or to rub their head against us. Buffy presses herself against our hand with pleasure, purrs, closes her eyes to fully absorb the moment of closeness and cuddling. Unfortunately, these moments are rare at the foster home and we hope all the more that Buffy and her siblings will quickly find their own families. Buffy has beautiful eyes and her very cuddly nature makes her stand out, despite her "simple" black and white coat.

Buffy knows the life in the house, finds the litter box reliably and does not show the desire to go outside at the moment. Therefore, we can well imagine that Buffy would be happy with indoor-only living, possibly with a nice cat-proofed balcony for pleasant sunbathing. As Buffy is very playful and cuddly with other cats, her new home should already have one or more cats who are compatible with other cats.

Buffy will be vaccinated, chipped, castrated and dewormed by the time she embarks on her journey.

Mitzi

Age: app. born mid of 2020
Gender:
female
Neutered:
yes
Housing: outdoor cat
Sociable with: female and male cats, dogs and chickens

Mitzi and her cat friend Sara now live with other cats at another foster home of Anca and get along very well with their fellow cats. They have also met dogs and chickens and have no problems with them. Mitzi is a curious young cat who examines everything closely and wants to get to know everything. She is also always enthusiastic about a game of tag with her cat friends. But she always stays close to home and never strays very far. Mitzi enjoys the "free" life and at the same time the safe life in the house.

Like Sara, Mitzi is a very cuddly cat towards us humans. Giving head, cuddling and being cuddled is also one of her favourite activities. She enjoys rolling onto her back and stretching out her belly to the stroking hand. But Mitzi also loves playing with her human, chasing a thread or cat fishing.

We are looking for a home for the beautiful Mitzi in a low-traffic area, where she can also enjoy outdoor access again after an appropriate settling-in period. Mitzi's new home should also have at least one other cat/boy. Of course, stroking hands and a can opener should not be missing in Mitzi's new home and are very important to her.

Mitzi will be vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and castrated by the time she embarks on her journey.

Kitty

Age: born app. mid of April 2021
Gender:
female
Neutered:
yes
Housing: outdoor cat
Sociable with: female and male cats, dogs and chickens

A few months have passed since then and Kitty has since moved to Cristina, Ioana's mother and Anca's foster home, in Trusesti. There the kitten was able to recover and was nursed back to health. The small, scared and emaciated kitten that was sitting under a parked car, trembling with fear and cold, has become a cheerful and beautiful cat. Kitty has silky fur and loves to be cuddled. Giving head, snuggling up, yes, that's Kitty. She loves people. But she is also a cat and likes to lie comfortably in the sun, do nothing and just enjoy her existence with half-closed eyes. But the pretty cat lady with the black spot on her nose can also do other things. A stuffed animal, a ball or simply a ball of wool brings out her play instinct. Whether alone or with her fellow cats, Kitty is immediately wide awake when there is something exciting to explore or she is asked to play.

Kitty lives with Cristina with other cats, of different ages, and dogs. She also knows chickens and gets along well with all 4- and 2-legged friends. The cuddly cat lady also knows life in the house, but would like to be able to move freely outside after an appropriate acclimatisation period. We are therefore looking for a home for Kitty in a quiet area where she can live with at least one other cat or male cat. Of course, stroking hands and a can opener may also live in Kitty's new home. :-)

Kitty will be vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and castrated by the time she embarks on her journey.

Findus

Age: app. born mid of April 2021
Gender:
male
Neutered:
yes
Housing: outdoor cat
Sociable with: female and male cats, dogs and chicken

Findus is one of Ioana's 3 kittens and has developed into a handsome brown/grey tabby male. Since he was found, he has been living in a foster home of Anca, together with other cats and tomcats. Of course there are little fights here and there, as is so common among cats, but never anything serious. Findus prefers to avoid trouble. Findus also knows dogs and chickens and has no problems with them.

From time to time Findus is allowed to move freely in the garden and enjoy the sun. He likes to be persuaded by his cat friends to play a game of tag and chase them around the garden. Findus is friendly, cuddly and affectionate with us humans. He likes to snooze on a bench and watch his foster mum working in the garden and is very happy when she goes over to him and strokes him. Giving head, purring, yes, Findus likes that. And when he has had enough, he goes his way, just like a cat.

Since Findus is used to going outside, we think that in the long run only a cat-proof balcony will not be enough for him. Therefore, we are looking for a home for Findus with possible outdoor access (after he has got used to it) in an area with little traffic. There should also be at least one other cat waiting for Findus in his new home.

Findus will be vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and castrated by the time he embarks on his journey.
