At the end of April 2017 around 11 female dogs could be spayed. Of these 11 , six are currently living on the grounds of a youth residents and are cared for and fed by the teenagers. Anca showed them what they had to look out for, or how they, for example, had to administer medication against worm infestations. They even took over the aftercareof the spayed dogs, naturally only after consultation with Anca who checked in daily to make sure the dogs were doing well.

The remaining five were able to find shelter with an old man. This man is living under very poor conditions and wouldn't have been able to pay for the surgery on his own. But he has a big heart for animals and offered these five strays shelter and food, as good as he is able to.

Catching these dogs was a real challenge, since they were timid towards strangers and don't like to be touched. With patience and Anca's expertise, they were able to be caught and castrated. the old man was delighted that "his" dogs wouldn't be able to get pregnant and was exuberantly thankful for the help.

On the way to Anca's workplace, there's a feeding spot that she visits regularly to feed the animals or, if necessary, provide medical care. Anca also administers medication against worms and treats the animals against ticks and other parasites. Thankfully residents visit the station every now and again to feed the animals with feed or their leftovers.  But sadly, dogs are also abandoned there. Like the small female puppy Pui.

Pui hid behind a tree, pushing herself to the ground. What a lucky chaange of fate that she had been found and brought to safety. The cute little puppy girl is still looking for her own family and will remain with her rescuer until this time and is well cared for and maintained there. The cute little puppy-girl is still searching for her forever home - until then she is staying with her savior where she's being provided and cared for.
