Another white canvas bag, tied up, was deposited on a forest path. Movements could be seen. Something was in the sack. Mid-February - it's still pretty cold during the day and at night the temperatures slip below freezing. The chances of survival for puppies outside at this time of year, without protection or a warming mother, are not very high and are dwindling by the hour.
 
A forestry worker had finished work and was on his way home when he noticed the linen bag. He opened it and revealed 3 young puppies. The little ones were not yet hypothermic and were still quite lively, so it was reasonable to suspect that they had been abandoned only a short time before. The forestry worker naturally took the 3 little fur babies home with him, as he was very fond of animals and also happened to be the father of Cristina, one of Anca's helpers. The very next day, the 3 puppies (2 boys, 1 girl) moved into Anca's "safe place".

Gwen is one of the 3 puppies that were abandoned in a bag and found in time. He and his two siblings, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder :-), proved to be very open-minded and people-orientated from the very first minute they were with Anca. Right from the start, the 3 little fur babies sought contact with us humans, wanting to cuddle and be stroked. They loved to lie in your arms or on your lap to enjoy the closeness to their humans and as a thank you, wet puppy kisses were distributed.

Gwen, Chris and Eddie live together with other puppies and have no problems with their mates. When the little ones go outside, they romp, play and run around. It is a joy to watch the 3 puppies, how much fun they have, how much enthusiasm they show to discover and explore new things. The three of them have also had the opportunity to meet cats and would love to have them as playmates.

We are looking for people for this pretty little dog, preferably a family with older children, who realise that puppies not only look cute but can also be exhausting at times. Many things will be unfamiliar to Gwen, many things must first be learnt and practised. House-training, walking on a lead, travelling in the car, commands and much more are all things that Gwen does not know. But with empathy, patience, time, understanding and lots of love, Gwen will be able to master many things. Attending a dog school would be desirable.

Gwen Stefani will be completely vaccinated, dewormed and chipped by the time she embarks on her journey.
