Iasi, early March 2023.
2 young kittens, brother and sister, only a few weeks old, were simply put in a cardboard box, taped up and left in a rubbish bin. It was early March and still quite cold. The temperature kept dropping to 0 degrees, especially at night. The 2 kittens would not have survived in the box for long.
Ioana, one of Anca's helpers, is studying veterinary medicine in Iasi and was out walking her female when she sniffed with interest at a cardboard box next to a rubbish container. Ioana thought it must have been leftover food, but then someone meowed miserably. Ioana opened the box and saw two thin kittens. One of them was already very close to death, the other kitten was screaming for help with all its might. Ioana took them both home. Unfortunately, the tomcat died that very night. The kitten fought and survived.
Calypsa survived and has grown into a beautiful and cuddly, 3-coloured lucky cat. She now lives with Ioana's mum in Trusesti in an aviary, together with other cats and tomcats, and gets on well with all of them. But her affection and love is for people. The cuddly feline enjoys rubbing up against her two-legged friends, giving "heads" and her eyes radiate so much love.
Calypsa is not familiar with life outside this aviary, so this beautiful cat would be perfectly happy living in a flat. Calypsa would certainly have no objection to a cat-proof balcony for sunbathing.
Calypsa will be vaccinated, chipped, castrated and dewormed by the time she embarks on her journey.
