A young woman saw several young puppies running around the ruins of a house. She looked and found their shelter there. It seemed that this was their "home" and they had probably been born there. But their mother was nowhere to be seen. The puppies were about 8 weeks old and well fed, and the next day the young woman went to visit the extended family again and brought delicious wet food. The puppies greedily pounced on the food. They were so hungry. It seemed as if their mum had not been here overnight. The young woman was worried and hoped that the female would turn up again.

The next day she went to visit the puppies again. But this time she found a run-over dog lying by the side of the road on the country roads not so far from the ruined house. It was a female with a large mammary gland. Presumably the mother of the 9 puppies. It was now clear that the puppies could not stay at their shelter near the ruined house. Fortunately, the young woman knew Anca. She called her and told her the story of the 9 puppies. The two women arranged to meet the same day to look at the puppies together and secure them.

9 puppies - 5 girls and 4 boys - all safe and sound, moved from the ruined house to Anca's "Safe Place". In the first few days, all 9 pups were confused and looking for their mum. Anca did her best to help them get over their loss. After a short time, the sad little fur babies became lively, playful and cuddly puppies.

Paul is one of the puppies who lost his mum in a car accident. But thanks to his 8 siblings, the little puppy is not alone. They play together, romp around, cuddle up to each other, argue and make up again. The 9 puppies have developed into a lively gang where there is almost always something going on. And that's exactly where Paul can always be found. The puppy is curious and up for any kind of mischief. If one of his siblings tries to redecorate blankets, Paul is there to help. Likewise, if a sibling discovers something interesting, Paul is immediately on hand to help investigate.

Paul is the same with us humans. He happily comes over, wiggling his paws, to greet the two-legged friend and invite them to play or cuddle. Of course, he is always keen to climb onto your lap to feel the closeness. They also like to give kisses, but Paul is also away again so as not to miss anything when one of their siblings has found something to play with.

We are looking for people for our cheerful little Paul, preferably a family with older children, who would enjoy the adventure of raising a puppy. We are looking for people who realise that puppies not only look cute, but can also be exhausting at times. A lot has to be learnt and practised. House-training, walking on a lead, travelling in the car, commands, not chewing on a carpet and much more. But with patience, empathy, understanding, time and lots of love, Paul will be able to master many things. Attending a dog school would be desirable.

Paul will be completely vaccinated, dewormed and chipped by the time he embarks on his journey.
