Buimaceni, a village about 1 hour from Botosani, is where a man found a mum dog with her 6 puppies in a house that was falling into ruin. The mum dog was so friendly and took such good care of her offspring that the animal-loving man went to the ruins every day to provide the female with leftover food so that she could look after her puppies. The gentleman wanted to take in one of the puppies and was looking for a way to look after the rest of the puppies. He made enquiries and eventually got Anca's telephone number.

Anca agreed to take in the dog family and asked the gentleman to catch the family and bring them to her in Botosani. The man was delighted with Anca's offer. One day later, he was already at Anca's door with the female mum and her puppies. Now the little family is with Anca and is being well looked after.

Priska was a caring dog mum and took great care of her offspring. But you could also tell that she was happy when Anca separated her from her puppies and gave her contact with other adult dogs. Priska now lives with females and males and gets on well with them. Priska is not a go-getter and prefers to stay in the background. She stays out of arguments and waits until the "thick air" has cleared.

Pushing ahead is not her style either. She waits until you turn towards her. At first, Priska is submissive and a little shy towards us humans. However, this quickly disappears when you engage with her and she senses that you mean her no harm. Priska loves to be stroked and enjoys attention. She even likes to be brushed.

We are looking for people who have patience, understanding and dog sense to show Priska how wonderful a dog's life with us can be. We don't know what has already happened to Priska in her life. Nor do we know what she can do or knows. Some things will be foreign to her. But with the help, love and security of her new humans, Priska will certainly be able to cope with a lot.

Priska will be completely vaccinated, dewormed, chipped and castrated by the time she embarks on her journey.
